First Climb in the Andes

First day in San Carlos de Bariloche I encountered two dudes looking to go up into the mountains for a few days. We gathered our supplies and set off. The following is a video I took at the top of my first Andean

San Telmo Market PT. II

It was a cloudy day for exploring, but at least the city turns into a village for sundays.

Most barrios in Buenos Aires have open air-markets every Sunday, as well as an abundance of street performers. This is the second post describing my wanderings around the San Telmo neighbourhood to enjoy what most travel guides tell me is an absolute necessary Sunday event in the city.
Daily Special: Some cut of Pork that I forget, papas frites with chimichurry and "salsa"

Started my day with a typically large-portioned lunch special in a decent restaurant in San Telmo, forget the name of the place too. I really should be taking more food pictures, but the nice meals usually come with wine, and after that so much red meat and wine, who can be bothered to make sure they dont lose their camera?
James Bond would approve.
The decor was nice in this place, and now for something completely different: Went to see SkyFall in theatres here, cero cero siete never fails to entertain.

Live dancing, live guitar, live classiness.
Ive took a decent video of this scene, but uploading it is proving more difficult than I thought. Should have lowered the video quality while I was recording. Oh well, Im working on it.
More old-school cool
I feel like this is a good city for steampunks.
Wheres Waldo-esque public dance party. Click the picture and see if you can spot all your favorite Saturday morning characters!
I saw more top hats Sunday then ive ever seen in one year in Toronto.
Kind of dark, but the guy in the bottom right is singing Opera.
And too end the day, public Opera in the main plaza of the city.
Sunday well spent!

Feria de San Telmo, a Bizzare Bazaar

It might have been a gray day to go to the market, but that did not stop the colors from shining through:

The things at the top left are called siphons. I do not know what they are for, but they sell a lot of them and I assume they are for candy for no other reason than the fact that they are right out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Top right are some signs saying: "do this, don't do that"
Pictured at bottom is a wacky record store. Well, it's not really wacky but there are no words for its coolness. La Boca playing River on the screen, if I recall correctly.
The guy in the blue kept trying to startle old ladies with his drums, but the abuelas around here are to cool to fall for that
These guys could really lay it down. P.S. the guy cut out at the right had an epic beard, sorry I missed it. IOU one epic beard pic.

Jardin Japones

Last Sunday I went for a stroll through a bunch of parks. Sunday was a beautiful day for this, and so thought many people in this city. Buenos Aires has many people, but it also has many parks. The quietest one was the 16-peso-entry-fee-for-foreigners Japanese Garden, wherein I was able to talk a number of lovely shots!

Not much to say about these photos, just enjoy them. It's more Zen that way.

A decent overview from the balcony of the garden.

This place got a bird,
This place got a duck.

This place even got a fish.
More like Japanese ZOO, amirite?
